Episode 12 of Arthdal Chronicles season 2 was the series conclusion, and it saw Eunseom entering Arthdal to save Tanya, only to arrive at Arthdal after Saya. Saya, meanwhile, shows up at the temple where the life exchange for Tanya is going down, with a surprise for Tagon.
He puts Arok in a bag and promises to trade Tanya for Arok, but Tagon is simply enraged and orders the guard outside to dump Bichwisan into the pool and set off the trap door, poisoning all the wells in the city. As he turns to free Tanya, he explains that she is Arthdal’s only hope in the face of the calamity he has caused.
While Saya takes the brunt of Tagon’s wrath, Tanya makes a beeline for the pool to wait for Eunseom to come after receiving the word from Mungtae. Tagon sees a formidable foe in the reflection of the sword. As they struggle for breath, the fight escalates until Eunseom uses the sword of Aramun he stashed in the tree trunk to stab Tagon in the torso and then slice his neck.
While Saya is congratulated for his assistance and taken to the hospital, the Ago soldiers come and surround Tagon. When Tagon tells Eunseom that they have both lost what is most valuable to them, Eunseom knows that he has finally won. Because of this, Eunseom knows something is awry and rallies the troops to find Tanya.
Meanwhile, at the pool, Tanya faces a difficult decision after realizing she can’t lift the jar and stop the poison from spilling out. After tying the trap door shut, she jumps into the Bichwisan-filled pool and emerges drenched in the poison.
Can we Expect Arthdal Chronicles Season 3?
Season 2 of Arthdal Chronicles has concluded, but this is not the end of the saga of a land everyone wants to conquer. Even though peace has arrived in Arthdal at long last. With Saya and Taealha eager to start a new conflict, that tranquility won’t last for long.
Hidden and underappreciated at present is the trap door in the Bichwisan pool, which will undoubtedly lead to major problems in the future. While things may appear calm on the surface, Arthdal is at imminent risk of facing a major threat.
Since there are still many unanswered issues and loose threads in the plot, a third season of The Arthdal Chronicles is likely in the works.
