The Santiago 2023 baseball competition is set to take place from October 18 to October 28, and Panama will be competing alongside the host nation, Chile, world No. 15 Colombia (gold medalists from the Junior Pan American Games), and world No. 24 Brazil (South American champions).

After winning the qualifying in Buenos Aires, Argentina, World No. 14 Panama punched their ticket to the Pan American Games baseball competition in Santiago in 2023. In the championship match, the Central American team defeated the hosts 9-3 and secured a spot in the largest multi-sport competition in the Americas.
Several top players from Canada and the USA will compete in the softball event; however, no current Major League Baseball (MLB) players are expected to participate in the baseball competition. Eight men’s teams, each with a maximum of 24 players, will compete. Consequently, 192 individuals are scheduled to compete in total.
No. 3 Mexico, No. 10 Dominican Republic, No. 11 Panama, and the host nation, Chile, are all in Group A. Group B’s starting lineups are No. 6 Venezuela, No. 8 Cuba, No. 16 Colombia, and No. 24 Brazil.
The teams competing for the gold and bronze medals will be determined by the Super Round, which takes place after the group round for the top two teams in each group. October 24 is the last day of the Opening Round, and October 26 and 27 are the dates of the Super Round. On October 28, there will be a medal game.
