New Zealand vs Netherlands match 6

New Zealand managed to defeat the Netherlands with a thumping victory scoring 99 runs. The Dutch team chose to bowl first after winning the toss, following which New Zealand posted 322 runs, for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. The decision backfired as the Dutch bowlers struggled to contain the Kiwi batsmen. Aryan Dutt picked up two wickets for Netherlands, while Paul van Meekeren and Roelof van der Merwe also took two wickets each.

The Netherlands then came out to score just 223 in 46.3 overs, falling short by 99 runs. Vikramjit Singh managed to score 12 runs, while Max O’Dowd scored 16, and Colin Ackermann score an impressive 69 runs. Mitchell Santner stood out as the best bowler for New Zealand, after picking up five wickets.

Following their loss, the Dutch side have yet to secure a win nor score a single point, while New Zealand top the points table with 2 wins. Meanwhile, India are currently placed in fifth position following a win over Australia in their opening game.

New Zealand opener Devon Conway who scored an impressive 32 runs during the match against Netherlands remains the number one. He has scored the most number of runs with a total of 184 runs so far. Behind him is Rachin Ravindra, who has scored 174 runs, while South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen sits at 3rd with 108 runs.
