A unique coach restaurant was inaugurated at the Visakhapatnam railway station by Minister Darshana Jardosh.

On Saturday, Darshana Jardosh, the Union Minister of State for Railways, opened the coach restaurant at the railway station. Jardosh is currently on a three-day visit to Visakhapatnam.
While speaking to the media, Darshana Jardosh said that the Visakhapatnam train station is one of the busiest in the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for the station’s reconstruction while also reviewing the status of different projects and talking about strategies to ensure their prompt completion.
Everything You Need To Know About The New Restaurant
The coach restaurant was built as part of Waltair Division’s Non-Fare Revenue initiative. This restaurant is close to Gate Number 1 of the station and was built using an abandoned coach and Rs 15 lakhs.
As per the railway officials, the facilities at the station will be open around the clock. This eatery, called the Visakha Food Express, features both an eating area and a sit-out in Mandi fashion.
The Waltair Division would make Rs 62 lakhs a year from this project by leasing out this restaurant to a private vendor who will release the menu soon. Both Waltair Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Saurabh Prasad and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao attended the ceremony.
After Vijayawada, Guntur, and Vizianagaram, this coach restaurant at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station is the fourth of its sort in the state.

Minister Darshana Jardosh praised the divisional railway officers’ efforts in creating a special attraction or restaurant for the general public. She then went over a number of active construction projects, including the multi-level parking structure at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station.
The minister spoke with the sellers as she was visiting the One Train, One Product Stall inside the station. She asked about sales, the collaboration of the railway officials, and other information.
Later, she participated in the Swachhta Abhiyan initiative and gave health kits to the station’s Safai Karamcharis in appreciation of their contribution to maintaining the station’s cleanliness. DRM Saurabh Prasad emphasised the division’s significant accomplishments as well as the many developmental operations that have been carried out throughout the division.
