The pitch invader decided to rush onto the pitch during the Thursday night Premier League clash with him seen trying to approach Ronaldo. However, his dreams were quashed midway as security intervened, knocking him straight off his feet before he could meet his idol.
Ronaldo was the man of the moment when Arsenal came calling with him stepping up in the aftermath of being shunned by France Football. Finishing sixth in the Ballon d’Or 2021 awards, Ronaldo decided to showcase his mettle as he upped the ante on the night to down the club based out of London with his two goals.
Ronaldo’s performance was even lauded by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who for some reason decided to jump on Instagram right after the clash to like Ronaldo’s post celebrating his side’s win over Arsenal.
The win came shortly after Ronaldo had hit out at Lionel Messi for winning the 2021 edition of the Ballon d’Or. Ronaldo was seen liking posts on Instagram which claimed that he was the true deserved winner of the prestigious award.
Ronaldo had even gone onto comment factos on a post which went onto call Messi’s win a robbery.
Michael Carrick wrapped up his three match period in charge of the club undefeated with the two wins and a draw to Chelsea. He will now step down as German Ralf Rangnick gets ready to take over as the interim manager till the end of the season.
