What Exactly Happened in Chapter 51
Beginning with Professor Seina, Shirone, Eruki, and Neid follow. They noticed Professor Seina having a meeting with a man and decided to follow her to find out more. They walked up to the door thinking the professor was having an affair with a married man, but they had completely misconstrued the conversation.
So they smashed the door down and barged in to stop her. The professor, however, was having a friend create the painting for her. Armin turned out to be a childhood acquaintance of the professor, and she had simply stopped by to visit as he worked on a painting.
What To Expect
Armin (the blonde guy) will explain in the next chapter that there will be an evil hidden organization with a large number of remarkable magicians as members, which should make things more exciting.
Armin lost his eyesight and gained the ability to halt time, but he needed more than just his mage zoner to accomplish this. Shirone will receive some guidance from Armin, an eternal function user, while time stands still.
