What Exactly Happened in Chapter 34
Jinx continued from where Chapter 33 left off in Chapter 34. The typical episode, whereby everyone just kind of hangs out and nothing horrible happens to Kim Dan. The duration of this calm is finite before anything terrible happens.
Kim Dan was back where he started in this episode after the dam collapsed. This time, though, circumstances meant that it wasn’t our Doc who wound up as the victim of the horror show. But it was Heesung who had to see something so shocking that he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
However, Jaekyung’s role as the show’s primary antagonist has remained consistent. As usual, he took advantage of the circumstances to further cement his position as the dominant party. However, Jaekyung was taking further measures to keep his genuine intentions from Kim Dan this time around.
Jinx Chapter 35 will show us how the three main characters respond to the predicament Jaekyung has created from their respective vantage points. Jaekyung “bought” Kim Dan by paying for his schooling, his grandmother’s medical care, and his continued salary. He used to bring it up to one-up Kim Dan in previous chapters, but he hasn’t done so since.
