Meera Nandan is an Indian actress renowned for working in the Malayali film industry. She has been in the news because she recently got engaged to her fiancรฉe, Shreeju.
Her real name is Meera Nandakumar. She was born on 26 November 1990 in Perandoor, Elamakkara, Kochi. Her father’s name is Nandakumar, and her mother’s name is Maya. She also has a younger brother named Arjun Nandakumar, who is also a Malayali actor.
Meera Nandan completed her elementary education at Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara. Later, she did her graduation in English literature from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam, and her post-graduation in mass communication with journalism from Manipal University.
She is currently 32 years old.
Her career
Meera Nandan began her career with a small role in a Mohanlal’s Taste Buds advertisement. She went to the Asianet Television Idea Star Singer auditions in 2007. However, she was hired as the program’s anchor instead. This led to hosting gigs on Amrita TV and Jeevan TV.
In 2008, she made her acting debut with Lal Jose’s “Mulla.” After that, Meera made her film debut in Tamil with “Vaalmiki” and continued to act in Tamil movies.
Meera Nandan made her Telugu debut in 2011 with “Jai Bolo Telangana” and then took on a difficult villain character in the Malayalam movie “Seniors.” Meera showcased versatility in 2013 by playing a journalist in “Lokpal” and trying her hand at playback singing.
In 2014, she made her film debut in Kannada with “Karodpathi” (formerly named “Kotyadhipathi”). She appeared in “Apothecary” and “Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu,” further broadening her roles. She made a comeback to Telugu film in 2015 with “Hitudu.”
In order to support her acting career, Meera worked as a radio jockey at Radio Red 94.7 FM in Dubai in 2014. She is currently employed as an RJ at Gold 101.3 FM in Ajman.
