The cast and crew of Twinkling Watermelon
The time-traveling romance drama features a superb cast of young Korean actors. It includes Ryeoun as Eun-gyeol, Choi Hyun-wook as Lee Chan, Seol In-ah as Choi Se-kyung, and Shin Eun-soo as Yoon Cheong-ah.
Director Son Jung-hyun, whose credits include “When My Love Blooms” and “Mental Coach Jegal,” is the director of this series. The script was written by acclaimed screenwriter Jin Soo-wan, who is best known for such films as “Kill Me, Heal Me” and “Chicago Typewriter,” among other successes.
Plot of Twinkling Watermelon
The upcoming drama centers on the life of Eun-Gyeol, played by Ryeo Un and dives into the worlds of time travel and imagination.
High school kid Eun-Gyeol, whose parents are deaf, stands out for his musical talent. He is an excellent student during the day, but at night he plays guitar in a band. One fateful day, while visiting a mysterious musical instrument store, Eun-Gyeol finds himself transported to an unknown location.
There, he meets Yi-Chan, played by Choi Hyun-Wook, Se-Kyung, played by Seol In-A, and Cheong-A, played by Shin Eun-Soo. Together, they embark on a musical journey as they form the band known as Watermelon Sugar.
