NCT will be having a final new unit debuting under their group’s name with the LASTART NCT Universe final group members profile and lineup out
As of now, the unit is being called the NCT New Team as the original name is not announced yet.
SM Entertainment’s NCT Universe: LASTART is a reality survival show that revealed the debut lineup for its new NCT unit recently. The new NCT unit is having seven members instead of the initial six members. Out of these seven members, two of them were part of SM Rookies earlier. Their debut in the NCT unit was revealed in June 2023 before the show began.

The debut lineup for the new NCT team includes Riku, Sion Yushi, Sakuya, Jungmin, Daeyoung, and Ryo. Yushi and Sio were members of SM Rookies. Previously, NCT Tokyo was finalised as the name for this unit but the new name hasn’t been confirmed yet. That’s why fans are referring it as the New NCT Team.
ENA aired the finale episode of the show in South Korea and later on, the debut lineup was announced. Yushi and Sio were among the first few confirmed candidates. Daeyoung who is 18 years old became the first existing member to join the lineup. 15-year-old Sakuya is the show’s youngest contestant. 20-year-old Riku, Jungmin, and 16-year-old Ryo made it to the debut lineup as its last three members.
NCT Universe: LASTART offered trainees an opportunity to compete against each other and secure a chance to make their debut being an idol. The local operators began airing on 27 July 2023 in South Korea and Japan.
SM Entertainment artists Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, BoA, and Jang Jin Young were the main artist directors of the show. Special appearances were made by several other SM Entertainment artists to train and evaluate the trainees. The new debut line will be performing with NCT members soon at the NCT NATION:To The World. This event will be taking place in Osaka and Tokyo on 9-10 September & 16-17 September respectively.
The new NCT unit will be going on a pre-debut tour in ten cities starting from October 8 across cities in Japan.
