According to organizing committee reports, the 2019 Rugby World Cup attracted more than 857 Million spectators, which was more than all the previous editions of this prestigious event. Notably, around 55 Million Japanese fans watched the event, as the host nation defeated Scotland to qualify for their maiden quarterfinal. It is confirmed that the 2023 edition will take place in France, and organizers hope to capitalise on the 26% increase in global viewers that the 2019 edition saw from it’s previous iteration.
