In The Obsidian Bride, Chapter 3, the man known as Platinum welcomes the woman named Mari Anne who has appeared before him. As she begins to introduce herself, he interrupts her and correctly identifies her precious stone. He describes her as a gem but forgets her actual name.
Despite her agitation at the mere mention of the word “diamond,” Mari stays composed and well-organized. The next person to announce himself with a gem name does so as Alexandrite. And when pressed for the diamond’s moniker, he comes up empty as well.
The next person to arrive is clutching a Garnet. People make fun of him because they think he’s a kid. When pressed further, he incorrectly guesses the female competitor’s gem name.
Then, two more jewels of a feminine kind materialize. After exchanging pleasantries, Moon Owl opens the jewel box and greets the guests. Let them have a seat, please.
