The UEFA Awards

Ahead of the award ceremony, the UEFA technical study group selected a shortlist of players based on previous season performances.

The main jury for the final votes consists of coaches of all the clubs that qualified for the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League in the 2022/23 campaign. They were joined by coaches of men’s senior national teams under UEFA and a group of journalists selected by European Sports Media (ESM).

Meanwhile, for the women’s category, the jury consist of ESM-selected journalists, national-team managers and coaches from teams who qualified for the Champions League group stages in 2022/23.
