Geetika Srivastava is an Indian Foreign Services (IFS) Officer who was born in Uttar Pradesh, India. Srivastava graduated from the Shiv Harsh Kisan P.G. College, in Basti, Uttar Pradesh in 2001 with maths, economics, and computers as her subjects. She is the first Indian woman to be appointed Chargé d’affaires in the Indian High Commission in Pakistan.

Geetika is a Civil Servant who has been serving as an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer from 2005 to present. After completing her formal education, Geetika appeared for the UPSC civil services exam and successfully cracked it. After cracking the exam, Srivastava joined the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.

Geetika Srivastava recent achievement
Geetika Srivastava has recently made headlines in August 2023 after becoming the Chargé d’affaires at the Indian High Commission in Pakistan. She will succeed M. Suresh Kumar amidst the tense India-Pakistan relation following the abolition of Article 370 in Kashmir. Srivastav will also become the first woman officer to lead the Indian mission in Pakistan.
