With PIF holding 75 percent ownership of each of the four clubs, alongside respective non-profit foundations holding the remaining 25 percent, the project underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting sporting excellence.
Having spent almost a decade with FC Porto, Otavio has made a significant impact, amassing 182 appearances and contributing 12 goals to the team’s success. Now, his journey takes him to the Middle East, where he’s set to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom he last represented Portugal at the Qatar World Cup.
Otavio’s net worth is poised for a considerable boost following his transfer to Al-Nassr. Saudi Pro League side has spared no expense in securing the 28-year-old’s services, reportedly shelling out a staggering $65 million (£51 million, €60 million) in transfer fees. This sizable investment makes Otavio the record sale from FC Porto, a club that had initially signed him on a free transfer back in 2014.
His jersey number is 25 and Otávio has also been used as a classic winger. Otávio’s current transfer value is between €17.5M and €29.1M and his last transfer was from Porto to Al-Nassr in 2023.
