The World Athletics Championships 2023 is currently underway at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary.
Erriyon Knighton one of the top prospects in the men’s 200m
Erriyon Knighton is a rising American wonderkid who won bronze behind Lyles and Kenny Bednarek back in Eugene last year. He was born on 29 January 2004 in Tampa, Florida, United States and he is the 2023 U.S. Champion in the 200 meters. He made his senior national team debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where he finished in fourth place. Ahead of the competition Knighton was quoted as saying:
“What gets me going is just wanting to be the world record holder and realizing how far I came and what I have done. And what I still can do with growing and everything.”
