2023 UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Championships schedule, date, venue, & medal favorites
It is confirmed that England’s famous Roman city Bath will host the 2023 UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Championships from 21st August through 28th August and best performers at this tournament will be able to seal their place in the 2024 Paris Olympics. From this tournament, fans will be anticipating impressive performances from British athletes, especially from Olympic champion Joe Choong, who will defend the individual championship.
In Alexandria, South Korea clinched the most medals with Olympic bronze medalist Jun Woong-tae winning the men’s relay and the mixed relay. Meanwhile, Kim Sun-woo bagged silver medal in the women’s team relay and bronze medal from the women’s individual relay. Elena Micheli, who won the individual gold medal in the UIPM World Cup Final in Ankara in June, makes Italy a nation to watch closely. At the July European Games in Krakow, her teammate Alice Sotero won the gold medal, while Giorgio Malan defeated Choong to win the men’s competition.
