The Asia Cup 2023 will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka starting this month. In the sixteenth edition of the 50-over Asia Cup, six teams will compete.

This year’s Asia Cup included six teams, including Nepal’s debutant squad. One group consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, while another includes India, Pakistan, and Nepal. The matches will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan in a hybrid version of the tournament.

Four of the 13 games of the event will be played in Pakistan. Multan will host the first game of those four matches, with Lahore hosting the next three. Sri Lanka will host every game played by India. The top two teams from each group proceed to the super fours, where they play three matches each before playing in the championship final on September 17.

In terms of the groups for the 2023 Asia Cup, the defending champions Sri Lanka will play in a more challenging group with Bangladesh and Afghanistan while India will be in Group A with bitter rivals Pakistan and Nepal.

Asia Cup 2023: Full List of Commentators

The commentary team for the 2023 Asia Cup has been made available. Twelve former players will make up the commentary panel, according to the Asian Cricket Council. Both the five former players from India and the four former players from Pakistan made the cut. There is one each from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Both Ramiz Raja, the former chairman of the PCB, and former India coach Ravi Shastri will speak throughout the competition. Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, two Pakistani sprinters, are among the commentators.

An additional member of the commentary crew was believed to be Scott Styris, a former all-rounder for New Zealand. However, the Kiwi later released a statement stating that he wouldn’t be available for this year’s Asia Cup.
