With the person filming the scene using inflammatory language, the context and reason for this skirmish remain a mystery. While Bari has yet to comment, the incident has taken over online conversations, with platforms like @SayCheeseDGTL and @STRAPPEDUS circulating the video.
Online observers are left questioning what might have prompted such a widespread negative reaction against Bari at the location.
Past controversies haunt ASAP Bari
This isn’t the first time ASAP Bari has been embroiled in controversy. Back in 2016, during an event in Paris, Bari was involved in an altercation following a dispute between Ian Connor and Theophilus London over allegations against Connor. This altercation saw ASAP Bari intervening, only to later engage in a Twitter war concerning Connor’s accusations.
The rise and fall in the fashion industry
ASAP Bari also made a name for himself in the fashion industry by starting companies like ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams, ASAP Kham, and ASAP Illz. His fashion brand, VLONE, got noticed when it was shown for the first time at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. From 2020 on, the brand will work with different artists.
But things changed in October 2022, when Bari was in danger of being kicked out of VLONE because of how he was acting. VLONE said on Instagram that they would continue to support creative people who “defy the norm” and that Bari no longer had the right to use the VLONE name or get a licence for it.
The way forward for ASAP Bari
As the dust settles from this recent incident, many are left pondering the future of ASAP Bari. Known both for his business acumen and controversies, it remains to be seen how these events will shape his trajectory in both the world of fashion and public perception.
