The chapter begins in the wilderness with Aselle and Ronan. They were assaulted by goblins while attempting to take some gold, but Ronan killed all of them.
Aselle couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed: Ronan beheaded three goblins in one strike, then vanished for a moment and reappeared in an instant. Ronan turns to Aselle and tells him to stop staring and start walking toward home.
