In 2023, The Basketball Tournament (TBT) will be in its tenth year, and 64 teams will once again compete in a single-elimination tournament for a $1 million grand prize.

India Rising, which has once more assembled some of the top players in the world who are of Indian descent to contend in the event, is taking part in TBT for the second consecutive year.
India Rising opened the tournament with a historic upset victory over Red Scare, thanks in large part to Tajinder Lall’s 29 points, proving that the second time around really is the charm.
India Rising brings together “the world’s best ballers from both the Indian subcontinent and its diaspora,” as it did last year, in keeping with its goals and objectives.
Sukhmail Mathon and Kiran Shastri, who previously played for India Rising, are back, and former G League power forward Venky Jois will join the team in 2023.
Who participates in the basketball tournament for India Rising?
A few returning players lead India Rising’s lineup, which also includes a few newcomers. The All-Big Sky selection Jois, who played for Eastern Washington and had a seven-year professional career that comprised time with the Memphis Hustle of the G League and other stops in his native Australia, is one of the prominent newcomers.
Among the prominent returners are Mathon, Shastri, and Robbie Sihota, who scored a game-high 12 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting in the squad’s loss to the Syracuse Alumni team the previous season.
