“Manners. What a concept,” Lakers Reporter Ryan Ward Hits Out At Russell Westbrook For His Disrespectful Interview

Lakers reporter Ryan Ward was far from pleased with Russell Westbrook looking at his phone all throughout his post-match interview

Over the years, Russell Westbrook and the media have shared a far from pleasant relationship. With the NBA player making his hate for the media apparent on a slew of occasions, sports journalists and reporters have been extremely unwilling to take up with his antics during interviews.

While its fine to not like the media, its completely different to disrespect them. Much like basketball players, reporters have their job to do as well, which makes for an extremely tedious one from being at games, reporting interviews, writing articles and putting up with the shenanigan of players.

And as Westbrook turned up to his latest interview, the Los Angeles Lakers player decided he wanted to once again snowball his relationship with members of media houses. Despite enduring a shambolic defeat on the day, Westbrook’s petulant personality saw him give out a bizarre interview, one during which he was staring at his phone the entire time.

“Call me crazy, but I think it’s just a bit disrespectful to look at your phone during an entire postgame interview, especially after getting blown out. Just me, I guess. Manners. What a concept,” Ryan said.

Westbrook had accrued 20 points during the Lakers defeat at the hands of Minnesota Timberwolves in the first quarter before putting on a haywire display in the subsequent quarters.
