2023 Men’s Asian Champions Trophy hockey schedule, date, venue, & key fixtures
It is confirmed that Chennai will play home to six of the top hockey teams on the continent in August as the Asian Champions trophy returns for its seventh iteration. Additionally, the tournament will mark the first big event to be held at Chennai’s Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium since India’s second Asia Cup victory in 2007. While India and Pakistan each have three titles to boast about, South Korea will enter the tournament as the reigning champion. Notably, the prestigious Men’s Asian Champions Trophy will be hosted inside India for the first time.
Prior to the semi-final stage, each of the six participants will play once against each other to accumulate five matches apiece in the round robin stage. It is confirmed that the top-four teams from this round will qualify for the semi-final. It is confirmed that six teams competing in the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy will be India, Pakistan, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, & China.
