2023 World Aquatics Championships swimming schedule, date, venue, & medal favorites
While the USA is once more set to dominate the pool, expect their longtime rivals Australia to put up a tougher fight throughout the 2023 World Aquatics Championships. With the assistance of world record holders Kaylee McKeown and Zac Stubblety-Cook, the Dolphins have improved since achieving their best-ever Olympic result at Tokyo 2020, and they intend to continue this momentum in Fukuoka.
Ariarne Titmus will be attempting to break the women’s 200m freestyle world record, the longest-standing world record in women’s long course swimming, in addition to defending her 2019 global title in the women’s 400m freestyle. Additionally, fans should keep an eye out for Kristof Milak, who will be attempting to increase his dominance in the butterfly events beginning with his signature 200-meter event. Dressel won’t be competing in Fukuoka 2023, so the aspirational Hungarian could grasp the chance to add to history in the men’s butterfly.
