Kingsley Holliday, a lineman for USU, is accused of allegedly r*ping another student after dragging her from an event on September 3, 2022, according to probable cause documents reported by KSL TV. Months later, in April and May 2023, it was claimed that Holliday was seen giving a confidential informant drugs that looked like Adderall on the USU campus while classes were in session.
The probable cause filings included numerous felonies against Holliday, including two charges of knowingly making or dispensing a prohibited narcotic, aggravated kidnapping while engaging in unlawful confinement, r*pe, and forcible s*domy.
Assault allegations against USU football player Kingsley Holliday explored
According to court records, on September 3, 2022, Kingsley Holliday, a graduate of Corner Canyon High School, allegedly dragged a woman across the parking lot by the wrist after they had met at an event, ignoring her objections. After that, Holiday allegedly drove her to a separate area where he r*ped and s*domized her.
A USU football player was the perpetrator, according to the victim who reported the event to the police. Witnesses at the scene who allegedly observed Holliday at the occasion supported the victim’s account of the attacker’s description. The victim’s DNA evidence from the night of the attack also matched the suspect, further supporting the approach.
Holliday apparently disputed the claim but reportedly voiced concern that the victim might be pregnant when confronted by the authorities. As per the document:
“Kingsley was taken into custody and interviewed about the incident. He denied any involvement, but was concerned that the victim might be pregnant.”
Kingsley Holliday was charged with kidnapping in addition to assault after his arrest on Monday, according to Chief Kent Goodrich of the North Park Police Department. KSL TV was told by Goodrich:
“Part of that aggravated kidnapping charge was because of the unlawful detention. She was not wanting to go with Mr Holiday. Did not want to be a party to what she feared was going to take place.”
Holliday did not participate in any games despite supposedly spending his sophomore year on the football squad at Utah State University. After the player was taken into custody, USU interim athletics director Jerry Bovee stated:
USU Athletics is proactive in taking a comprehensive approach to building a culture of safety and respect. Our student-athletes are trained and educated numerous times annually as it relates to s*xual conduct, and we unequivocally will not tolerate any violations of the law.”
Holliday was taken into custody and is being held without bond at the Cache County Jail.
