Philomel initially meets Princess Elensia at the beginning of this chapter. To find out if Naser was at home, Elensia visited Philomel. If it’s the young Duke of Avriden she’s asking about, Philomel says he’s just returned after taking a different route than Her Highness.
A meeting with the young duke is inquired about by the woman. Elensia explains that she was interested in meeting Nasar of Duke Avriden because she had heard he was a cool guy. Philomel, does Nasar happen to be a close friend of yours? Philomel says he and his future wife see each other frequently but are not particularly close.
Elensia tells her that she is both envious and grateful that she does not have a nosy maid following her about. She dislikes it when others take the initiative that she could accomplish herself. She confides in Philomel that the princess must be feeling down about her status recently. After that, she is out of there.
Elensia seemed rude to Philomel, and she agreed. She had previously believed Elensia to be blameless, but after rediscovering the book, she realizes she must now provide evidence supporting the book’s portrayal of Elensia’s character.
