The video of Azeem insulting Hindus in Delhi has gone viral as he threw the buffalo head outside a temple

A buffalo’s severed head was discovered on the road outside a temple in northeast Delhi’s Welcome neighbourhood on Friday, and two persons have since been detained, according to the police. Azeem (27), a resident of Babarpur in Delhi, and a child, 16, have been named as the defendants.

The decapitated head of a buffalo was discovered on Friday (June 30) evening next to a Hindu temple on Nala Road in the West Gorakh Park neighbourhood of Northeast Delhi.

According to reports, a phone complaint concerning animal carcasses being found close to a Hanuman temple was made at the Welcome police station on Friday around 5:30 pm. The decapitated head of a buffalo could be seen laying on the road close to the temple grounds in a video that has now gone viral on social media.

Hindus in huge numbers could also be observed conversing about the issue outside the temple. A guy in the throng was observed using a newspaper to clear the dead bodies off the road.

The bigger picture

Two miscreants on a scooter threw the buffalo’s head close to the temple, according to an investigation by the Welcome police into the incident. Police have now detained a 16-year-old juvenile and 27-year-old Azeem in connection with the incident.

A case has been filed under sections 153 A of the Indian Penal Code (promoting animosity between groups on the basis of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.), 295 A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to incite religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc., of any value or any animal of the value of Rs. 50 or more), as well as 34 (common intention).

“Acting swiftly on the information that a severed buffalo head was found on a roadside under Welcome police station,” the police of the North East district stated in a statement. “The police of North East district have arrested two accused.” “People are advised to support the police in keeping the area peaceful. Additionally, don’t propagate any rumours of any type,” it said in the statement. The decapitated buffalo head was afterwards taken by the Welcome Police.
