Confusion has erupted in Pakistan following the death of a TikTok and Instagram influencer named Ayesha Hanif

On Friday, reports surfaced that Hanif died of an alleged drug overdose while being treated at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

As word of Hanif’s death spread, photographs of Mano began to circulate in Pakistani media, falsely alleging that she was the influencer who had died, creating a lot of confusion among followers.

Who Is Ayesha Hanif?

Ayesha Hanif is a TikTok Star from Punjab’s Sheikhupura City. However, it is Ayesha Hanif who has died, not Ayesha Azhar Mano. Because they share the same name, news of Ayesha Mano’s death has travelled throughout the country. People have also been posting images of Ayesha Mano on social media as a tribute.

While her DOB isn’t known, she was aged between 20-30 years.

Death Of Ayesha Hanif

According to sources, Hanif was at a DHA Phase 1 party when her body was dropped off at the Jinnah Medical Centre. Following this, her husband, Muhammad Adil, and his mother, Nusrat Sobia, were reportedly arrested.

According to Pakistani news outlets, Ayesha Hanif, a TikTok artist, overdosed and died at a party in Karachi on the intervening night of June 23 and 24 and her body was later found abandoned at the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre in Karachi.

Ayesha Mano Came Forward To Issue A Statement

This prompted Mano to issue a statement after a friend emailed her a post with respect to Hanif that included a photo of her. “One of my friends [sic] sent me this last night in which they spread a rumour that I had died,” she wrote.ย 

She further added, โ€œFor God’s sake, you have no idea what kind of situations this silly rumour could cause in anyone’s life.โ€

“I’ve never sought attention or created a buzz, so why are you trying to ruin my life? It’s worth noting that they have no idea what my genuine name is. I have never exaggerated or sensationalised anything about your lives, and I refuse to allow anyone to intervene in my own.โ€

“Spreading false information without regard for the consequences is not only irresponsible but also demonstrates a disregard for the well-being of others. It must be stopped!!!”

Mano is best known for her dance to the song ‘Mera Dil Ye Pukare Aaja,’ which has received over 44 million views on YouTube.
