The Maharashtra Ironmen won the inaugural champions of the Premier Handball League (PHL) 2023 by beating the Golden Eagles UP.

The final match took place at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday (June 25).
2023 PHL final
During the final match of the 2023 PHL between the Maharashtra Ironmen and Golden Eagles UP, Jalal Kiani and Igor Chiseliov together scored 22 goals (11 goals each) to help table-toppers Maharashtra Ironmen defeat the Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh. The total scoreline at the end of the match was 38-24.
Meanwhile, for Golden Eagles UP, Sukhveer Singh Brar emerged as the top scorer with 10 goals during the final match. Brar also became the overall top-scorer for PHL season 1 with 102 goals. He has also become the first ever player in Premier Handball League history to reach a century of goals.
Ahead of the finals, Maharashtra Ironmen beat the hosts Rajasthan Patriots by 38-28 during the first semifinal. Meanwhile, Golden Eagles UP, entered the finals after beating second-placed Telugu Talons by a penalties (4-3). The match had ended 40-40.
