Have a look inside the absurd $220 million cost plane used by the Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal

This summer, the Saudi Pro League is expected to try to sign some of Europe’s greatest players, and former Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo has provided some insight into the kind of opulent lifestyle those who make the transition may anticipate.

The Nigerian forward is now signed to the Saudi team Al-Hilal.  After recently acquiring Ruben Neves from Wolves, the club has intentions to conduct more Premier League raids in the coming weeks. A sizable deal to recruit treble-winning Bernardo Silva is allegedly one of the summer’s most important additions. Given the growing financial clout of the Saudi League in the sport, it is hardly surprising that their athletes travel in style.

Today, most great teams travel by plane to away games, but Al-Hilal’s plane is absurdly rich. What they saw in social media videos of Ighalo giving a tour of the plane has startled fans.

According to Aeroaffaires, the concerned aircraft is a Boeing 474-400 and is worth $220 million. It resembles getting a tour of a house more than a plane, complete with all the bedrooms and the dining area!

Nsn A brief glance around the lounge areas and even the cockpit completes the tour of the lavish accommodation. The 400 seats that were originally planned for the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal-owned aircraft were eventually torn out to make room for a larger cabin.

A golden throne now occupies the space where the seats once were in the centre of the cabin! It’s hardly surprising that life in the Middle East appeals to some of the game’s best personalities given the regular travel opportunities and enormous incomes there.

As the Gulf Kingdom seeks to attract some of the best players in the world, the Saudi Pro League’s spending spree is far from ending. The Saudi Pro League’s recent acquisitions of Premier League stars, like Ruben Neves and the probable addition of Edouard Mendy, have prompted interest in the reasons behind this trend.
