FUN FACT: All the Breeders’ Cup tournaments have been held in the United States except for the Breeders’ Cup 1996, which was held at the Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada.
2011: In 2011, Craig R. Fravel was appointed as the CEO and President. From 2008 to 2014, the Breeders’ Cup was held at either Churchill Downs or Santa Anita Park.
2015: 2015 was the year when the Triple Crown was won since its start in 1984. American Pharoah ended up winning the accomplishment in a triumphant way.
2018: The 2018 season was held at Churchill Downs.
