People who are on board are OceanGate’s inspirational founder, 61, and CEO, Stockton Rush, 77; British billionaire Hamish Harding, 58; former French Navy captain Paul-Henri Nargeolet; British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, 48; and his son, Suleman Dawood, 17.

Who is Guillermo Sohnlein?
Guillermo Sohnlein is a renowned Argentine-born American social entrepreneur. He has been in the news because his hope was shattered as all five passengers of the Titanic submarine were tragically lost in the ill-fated Titanic ruin expedition.
His full name is Guillermo Adrian Miguel Söhnlein. He was born on May 18, 1966, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later, he moved to the United States in 1972 and settled in San Jose, California. Eventually, he became a US citizen in 1986.
Guillermo Sohnlein completed his schooling at St. Francis High School in Mountain View. Subsequently, he attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he did his graduation in economics. Later, he attended the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where he earned his J.D.
While not much is known about his wife, it is known that he is the father of three children named Rebecca Lynn Söhnlein, Daniel Jacob Söhnlein, and Caleb Miguel Söhnlein.

His career
Before entering the aerospace sector, ex-Marine Corps Captain Guillermo Sohnlein co-founded software companies including Milo and iSpaces. He launched the Space Angels Network and the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs (IASE), organizations that encourage early-stage aerospace firms.
