City Hunter anime franchise announced the new film City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust which will release on September 8, 2023. It was also confirmed that TM Network would be performing the film’s opening and closing themes, Whatever Comes and Get Wild, respectively.

The Cast Members of City Hunter
The news also included the introduction of new cast members and characters. Cast members Kenyuu Horiuchi (Shin Kaibara), Tomokazu Seki (Pirarucu), Subaru Kimura (Espada), and Miyuki Sawashiro (Angie) also appear. Angie, a foreign film director, is currently in Japan filming a documentary about her wandering cat. However, she turns to the titular hero for assistance when her cat goes missing.
The new movie in the franchise is directed by Kenji Kodama and produced by Sunrise Studios and The Answer Studio Co., Ltd. The script is being written by Yasuyuki Muto, and Aniplex will be handling distribution. The protagonist, Ryo Saeba, has a tragic backstory involving the death of his previous colleague, Hideyuki Makimura.
Angel Dust, a key element of the TV show, will play a significant role in the movie as well. Akira Kamiya is back as Ryo Saeba, and so are Kazue Ikuro and Harumi Ichiryusai as Kaori Makimura and Saeko Nogami, and Tessho Genda and Mami Koyama as Umibozu and Miki. This movie celebrates 35 years of TV anime’s existence.

Meanwhile, Shin Kaibara is a war-wounded mercenary leader who helped train the young Ryo to become a fierce fighter after he was abandoned as a child. Both Pirarucu and Espada are members of the “Wetworks” hit squad, the primary antagonist organization in the film. Keiko Toda, who will play Hitomi, Chika Sakamoto, who will play Ai, and Rica Fukami, who will play Rui, have all been cast.
