At Coimbatore’s Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science Cricket Ground, Lyca Kovai Kings completely outclassed iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans before emerging victorious by a margin of 70-runs in the opening game of the Shriram Capital Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023. When summoned to bat earlier, Lyca Kovai Kings wowed the stadium and managed to achieve total of 179/7 thanks to Sai Sudarshan’s innings of 86-runs. Later, Lyca Kovai Kings skipper Shahrukh Khan provided the bowling department with leadership as he finished with 3/20 and restricted Tamizhans to low total of 109.
On Tuesday, Salem Spartans clashed against Chepauk Super Gillies, who managed to score 217/5 thanks to explosive batting from opener Pradosh Ranjan Paul. In response, Spartans struggled against their opponents and succumbed to defeat by a huge margin of 52-runs.
