The event was attended by Julia Morley, the chairperson and chief executive of the Miss World Organisation; Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska from Poland; and Sini Shetty, Miss India World 2022.

The Official Confirmation of Miss World 2023 in India
The Miss World Organisation posted an Instagram post confirming its host for this year. It read, “The decision to award India with this prestigious honour recognises the nation’s rich cultural heritage. It shows commitment to promoting diversity and passion for empowering women.”
Morley, whose late husband Eric Morley launched Miss World in the UK in 1951, added after the news on Thursday: “I am happy to announce India as the new host of the 71st Miss World final. India has always held a special place in my heart, ever since I first travelled there more than 30 years ago. We can’t wait to introduce the rest of the globe to your distinctive and varied culture, top-notch landmarks, and gorgeous settings.
Miss World 2023 is anticipated to feature more than 130 competitors; the venue and date have not yet been made public.
The Miss World pageant was previously held in India, in Bangalore, in 1996, with Irene Skliva of Greece taking home the crown.

Karolina Bielawska was crowned Miss World 2022 in March of last year in Puerto Rico, defeating the favourite Olivia Yace of the Ivory Coast and Miss USA Shree Saini, who finished in second and third, respectively.
Only the second Polish woman to win the title, Bielawska created history.
The UAE as the Host of Miss World 2023
In February, the UAE was selected as the host nation. Morley declared in a now-deleted post that she was “delighted” to bring the pageant to the Emirates, making it the first time in its seven-decade history that it had travelled to the Middle East.
In the beauty pageant’s history, the UAE has never been represented.
