This year’s Singapore Open is the 12th tournament on the 2023 BWF World Tour, and the second Super 750 event of the season.
India’s PV Sindhu, will be looking for a better performance this time out. The two-time Olympic medallist is coming off a shock exit in the first round in the recently concluded Thailand Open
She will begin her Singapore Open campaign against Malaysia Masters 2023 winner and World rank no.1 Japanese shuttler Akane Yamaguchi.
Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal will begin her Singapore Open campaign against Thailand’s world No. 8 Ratchanok Intanon.

India’s HS Prannoy will return to the men’s singles following his maiden world title win at the Malaysia Masters 2023. He will first play against Japan’s world No. 3 Kodai Naraoka. Lakshya Sen will also compete in the same category beginning with his opening clash against Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen in the round of 32.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth, the former world No. 1 will compete against Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen in the opener. Priyanshu Rajawat, the Orlean’s Masters 2023 winner, will also take part in the action.
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, the world rank 4 men’s duo and Swiss Open 2023 winners will compete against Japanese duo Akira Koga and Taichi Saito in the round of 32. Meanwhile, in the women’s doubles category, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, will face off against Yeung Nga Ting and Yeung Pui Lam of Hong Kong in their first match.
