What Happened in The Knight King Who Returned With a God Chapter 7
After dying in battle, Lancelot was brought back to life by a mysterious goddess named Athena in Chapter 7 of The Knight King Who Returned With a God. Next thing he knew, he learned that he’d been absent for three hundred years and that his kingdom had been obliterated in that time. He also supposedly encountered a young woman named Luna who claimed to be his daughter and the current monarch of the kingdom. She beseeched him to aid her in reclaiming their land’s former greatness and vanquishing its enemies.
Lancelot and Luna set off on their quest to reclaim the country in Chapter 7. A band of bandits tries to rob them, but Lancelot effortlessly dispatches them with his sword and the help of the gods. He goes on to claim that he has “God’s Eye,” a supernatural ability that enables him to see the truth about everything and everyone. Using this ability, he determines that Luna is not his descendent but rather a monster masquerading as one. He probes her for the story behind her deceit.
Luna calls her a monster, but she claims she has no malicious intentions. She claims her father, the Demon King, ordered her to kill Lancelot, but after witnessing his kindness and bravery, she changed her mind. She claims to have fallen in love with him and liked him. She pleads with him to spare her life and feels what she’s going through.
