What Exactly Happened in Yuri is My Job! Episode 8
In episode eight, Sumika warns Kanoko against being so possessive that she pushes Hime away, alluding to a previous incident between waitresses. After Kanoko left, Sumika said she didn’t want her to come in the way of her own success.
After a week of voting, the show revealed that Mitsuki had received the most Blume votes, followed by Sumika, Kanoko, and Hime. Hime, realizing she had little chance of winning the Blume, backed Mitsuki instead, calling herself the winner’s “sister” (Blume Schwester).
Kanoko, unable to process the implications of this choice, hastily begged Sumika to join her as a Schwester so that they may compete for and win Blume. This would stop Hime from evolving into a bluish-sisterly figure. Sumika reluctantly consented in order to quell Kanoko’s growing jealously.
The episode continued with Kanoko revealing to the patrons that Hime was actually Sumika’s Schwestern. Hime ultimately decided to leave Mitsuki after Kanoko begged Sumika to outlaw the Schwestern if she were to become Blume. But this prompted an angry confrontation between Kanoko and Sumika, who told Kanoko she needed to quit being so possessive.
