The official invitation stated that the inauguration would take place on May 28 at 12:00 p.m. in the Parliament House Complex.
Who will attend the event?
Reportedly, the guest list was carefully compiled and included all members of parliament and other figures. To further emphasize the significance of this historic occasion, invitations have also been given to the secretaries of all central government departments.
The invitations have also been sent to the chief ministers of all the states and opposition leaders. However, many opposition parties have decided to boycott the event. These parties include Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackrey fraction), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M).
Apart from this, renowned entrepreneur Ratan Tata and chief architect Bimal Patel have also been invited to the building’s inauguration ceremony.
