His career
Jason Tindall started out as a football player for his father Jimmy’s East London youth team, Senrab F.C. In 1998, he joined AFC Bournemouth as a midfielder on a free transfer after serving an apprenticeship at Charlton Athletic.
Unfortunately, following his final game in April 2004, a persistent knee injury forced him to miss 18 months of action. After undergoing surgery in the United States, Tindall returned as a replacement in January 2006.
Jason Tindall made his managerial debut in January 2007, when he was appointed player-manager of Weymouth. Yet, his employment came to an end in January 2008 following a dismal campaign in which the club remained in last place.
He started working with Bournemouth in September 2008 as Jimmy Quinn’s assistant manager. Tindall remained Eddie Howe’s assistant when Eddie Howe was elevated to caretaker manager owing to his subpar performance.
In January 2011, they both finally signed for Burnley in the Championship. They stayed there for 18 months until coming back to Bournemouth in October 2012. After Howe left, Tindall assumed management duties temporarily until being named the permanent manager in August 2020.
However, a string of disappointing outcomes caused his term to end in February 2021. In March 2021, Tindall joined Paul Heckingbottom’s coaching team at Sheffield United. He later reconnected with Eddie Howe at Newcastle United in November 2021, accepting the position of assistant head coach.
