Law firm Luthra & Luthra founder and seasoned business lawyer Rajiv Luthra passed away on Wednesday.
After experiencing a brief illness, Luthra, 67, died suddenly. The experienced lawyer left behind his wife and two kids. His cremation is going to take place at Lodhi Road Crematorium in Delhi.

Rajiv Luthra was a renowned business lawyer and the founder of the law firm Luthra & Luthra. He has been in the news because he passed away recently at the age of 67.
He was born on March 8, 1956, in Delhi. He did his schooling at various schools including Air Force School, St. Xaviers High School, and Methodist High School. Later, he attended the University of Delhi where studied law. Later, he attended Harvard Law School.
Rajiv Luthra was married and his wife’s name is Gayatri Luthra. They are also the parents of two daughters. Rajiv was an avid golfer.
He passed away on May 10, 2023. At the time of his death, he was 67 years old.
His career
Rajiv Luthra began his professional life as a chartered accountant. Yet he eventually decided to study law. At the age of 31, he founded his own law firm, Luthra & Luthra Law Offices. He was an expert in project financing and public-private partnerships.
He oversaw several major mergers and acquisitions, the most notable of which was Coca-Cola-Parle. He participated in the $4 billion merger of Sun Pharma and Ranbaxy. He provided his advice to the government on the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines.
As of now, the Luthra & Luthra Law Offices employ over 350 attorneys and have offices in Bangalore and Mumbai. Before starting his own legal office, Rajiv Luthra also founded a tourism agency. also held the position of director for Network18 Media & Investments Ltd.
