This year, the X Games Chiba 2023 will take place at the ZOZO Marine Stadium from 12 to 14 May.
X Games Chiba 2023 competition preview and players to watch
Defending champions Rayssa Leal (women’s skateboarding street), Yosozumi Sakura (women’s skateboarding park) and Logan Martin (BMX freestyle) are all set to make a return to defend their titles.
Aside from them, the competition will also feature other Tokyo 2020 stars like Hiraki Cocona (women’s park); Nishiya Momiji and Nakayama Funa (women’s street); Keegan Palmer (men’s park); and Kelvin Hoefler (men’s street).
13-year-old Onodera Ginwoo, who made history back in February by becoming the youngest ever male athlete to win a medal will also feature in the competition. Tony Hawk is also slated to make an appearance at the men’s vert best trick competition.
Hawk just recently made his return to the X Games two years ago after an 18-year absence. Throughout his career, Hawk has won a total of 16 X Games medals including 10 golds. Check out the full list of athletes here.
