Lonnie Walker IV NBA Career

Walker has been the subject of a lot of publicity throughout his basketball playing career. Walker played shooting guard at Reading High School in Pennsylvania, where as a senior he was crowned Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball and a McDonald’s All-American.

He was regarded as a unanimous five-star recruit in the 2017 class when he was still in high school, with the 247Sports Composite Rankings placing him as the No. 16 prospect nationwide, the No. 2 shooting guard, and the No. 2 prospect in Pennsylvania, behind only Mo Bamba, who attended Westtown School in West Chester.

Walker ultimately decided to enrol at the University of Miami in Florida. Prior to his freshman year, he tore his meniscus, however, he still contributed during the 2017–18 season. With the Hurricanes, he appeared in 32 games and started 18, averaging 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors

With an 84-77 advantage going into the fourth quarter, the Warriors saw their advantage shrink as Walker started on his rampage. For the Warriors, Curry produced a triple-double with 31 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds. But his floor shooting was terrible, going 12-for-30. In addition, he made an important error with 1.5 seconds left by catching a jump ball and flinging it out of bounds.

Walker scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, just two short of Golden State’s final-quarter total of 17, and the team made six field goals. With 3:01 remaining, Klay Thompson’s 3-pointer gave the Warriors a 99-96 advantage. James and Walker both scored four points in the final 2 1/2 minutes as the Lakers went on an 8-2 run to win the game.

Walker made the game-winning jump shot with 1:53 remaining to put Los Angeles ahead 100-99.

Despite the fact that scoring was obviously helpful, it wasn’t the only factor.

During Monday’s game, Walker made key plays defending Stephen Curry, who drained the go-ahead basket against him, and Klay Thompson.

Meanwhile, the Lakers will have the opportunity to secure a position in the Western Conference finals in Game 5 on Wednesday in San Francisco.
