Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly offering to triple the salary of Alexis Mac Allister salary if he agrees to sign a permanent deal with the Reds in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Aside from the Merseyside outfit, Manchester United and Manchester City are also keen to sign the Argentine star.

Alexis Mac Allister is currently just 24-years-old and so far this season, he has scored 11 goals and laid out two assists in 34 matches across all competitions. Overall, he has registered 19 goals and eight assists across 106 matches for current club Brighton.

The young star has 16 caps with the Argentina national team and shot to fame following his brilliant performances at this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup. He scored one goal and registered six assists to help his side lift the trophy.

Liverpool offer to triple Mac Allister salary

24-year-old Mac Allister is currently on a £50,000-a-week deal at the Amex Stadium. According to reports, Liverpool are keen to secure the young player and are offering to triple his current salary with a £150,000 per week contract.

Reports indicate that Liverpool have already met up with Mac Allister’s representatives for face-to-face discussions of the move. Jurgen Klopp has been a huge admirer of Mac Allister in recent months and looks forward to adding him to his squad before the Reds begin their pre-season action. Moreover, Mac Allister is also reportedly keen to join the 19-time league champions. As such, if things work out well, it would be a win-win for both parties.

If indeed Mac Allister agrees to sign for Liverpool this summer, he could feature as a regular starter. Mac Allister could swap in ahead of Jordan Henderson in Jurgen Klopp’s preferred 4-3-3 system. Moreover, he could also step in the role of an advanced playmaker in an offensive 4-2-3-1 formation that Klopp uses.
