For those unversed, the Georgia Bulldog has been chastised after a video emerged showing him making a racist remark toward an Asian man who delivered the Atlanta Falcons’ first-round pick announcement during the 2023 NFL Draft.

On social media, a video of Jarrett making a racist remark to an Asian man who delivered the Atlanta Falcons’ first-round pick announcement went viral.
One such social media user, who are currently trolling the player, took to Twitter and penned “A Georgia Bulldogs football player made anti Asian comments on his Instagram Live when he saw an Asian man announcing a pick in the NFL Draft. His name is Jamaal Jarrett. This is unacceptable and disgusting.”
Another one criticized him, “JAH JARRETT THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! no wonder carolina didn’t take this kid. racist and has character issues. yikes. bad look and classless @JamaalJarrett.”
A third one added “Practically no coverage of UGA football player Jamaal Jarrett spouting an anti-Asian racial epithet. The school and football program needs to hold him accountable for his actions. The fact that he did this after the racist Atlanta spa shootings just two years ago is unacceptable.”
Followed by another one who expressed “Georgia DT Jamaal Jarrett streamed some racially insensitive remarks on IG live on draft night… Yikes.”
For those unversed, Jarrett could be heard saying in the viral video that “Jalen Carter, come on Asian. Ching chong.” The comment did not go well with social media users as they seemed to be trolling the player pretty harshly.
The incoming freshman has four stars. He’ll be a defensive tackle for the Georgia Bulldogs next season. While watching the draft in Kansas City, Jarrett was live on Instagram. When the Atlanta Falcons’ No. 8 pick was called in, he made the remark.
Bijan Robinson of the University of Texas was selected eighth overall by the Falcons. Jalen Carter was selected ninth overall by the Philadelphia Eagles.
After his video went viral, Jarrett’s social media accounts – Twitter and Instagram – were locked. The DT attended Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. In his senior year, he was named to the All-American Bowl.
The Falcons selected University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the eighth overall pick, which pleased the Philadelphia Eagles, who selected Carter with the ninth overall pick.
Jarrett attended Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, and was named to the All-American Bowl his senior year.
Jarrett was ranked as the No. 172 prospect in the Class of 2023 and the No. 23 defensive lineman prospect.
