With 32 goals in his first season at the club and helping the team win two First Division championships in 1928 and 1932, Dean tore First Division defences to pieces during his time at Everton.
Though his consistency was incredible for more than a decade, his outrageous statistics from the 1927–1928 season are what stand out most about his time at Everton.
In each of the eight seasons from 1925 to 1933, Dean scored more than 20 league goals, including 45 in 1932 when Everton won the First Division once more.
Even though Dean never played for England at a major competition, his international record, which included 18 goals in 16 appearances for the Three Lions, was just as impressive as his club accomplishments.
