The Sun reports that Chelsea would appoint AS Monaco’s sports director Paul Mitchell to a top post at the London club.
The 41-year-old had previously worked for RB Leipzig, Southampton, and Tottenham Hotspur. He gets along well with the incoming Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Mitchell was hired for a purpose unrelated to Pochettino. The director is anticipated to support the Blues in player sales.
