Jiah Khan, whose birth name was Nafisa Rizvi Khan was known for appearing in Indian films, know her death cause, date and relationships 

Jiah Khan made her Bollywood debut in the 2007 film Nishabd. Later, she played a supporting role in the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2008, Ghajini, and received praise for her comic role in the romantic comedy Housefull in 2010.

Jiah Khan was discovered dead in her Mumbai bedroom on June 3, 2013, hanging from a ceiling fan. Her death was first ruled as suicide. However, her mother continued to claim that she was murdered by her boyfriend, actor Sooraj Pancholi.

Following an autopsy at JJ Hospital in Byculla, her body was returned to her residence and buried according to Islamic rites. Numerous Bollywood actors attended her funeral and memorial services. A handwritten note addressing her boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi, was found at her residence, indicating her intention to end her life.

Pancholi was taken into police custody during the investigation but was later granted bail. Khan’s mother raised suspicions of foul play and an independent forensic expert concluded that the hanging was staged.

Nearly five years after Khan’s passing, a Mumbai court accused Suraj Pancholi of encouraging Khan for suicide in 2018. The case has not yet been settled, and it remains a controversial and tragic end to the life of a promising young actress.

Preliminary investigation revealed that she was in a relationship with Suraj, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

The final verdict in her case will be announced on 28 April 2023. On 20 April 2023, the final arguments were heard by judge AS Sayyad.

Nafisa Khan, popularly known as Jiah Khan was born on February 20, 1988, in New York City to Rabiya Amin, a Hindi cinema actress from Agra, and Ali Rizvi Khan, an Indian American businessman. Her father abandoned the family when she was two years old. Khan had two younger sisters named Kavita and Karishma.

She traveled to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. At the age of six, she saw Urmila Matondkar in the film Rangeela, which gave her the idea to work as an actress. Khan studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Manhattan but left when she received a movie offer.

At the age of 16, Nafisa Khan was offered a role in Mukesh Bhatt’s Tumsa Nahin Dekha in 2004 but declined it as both she and the director felt that the role was too mature for her. The role was given to Dia Mirza instead. In 2007, when she was 18, Khan made her debut in Ram Gopal Verma’s Nishabd as Jia, opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

The following year, she appeared in A.R. Murugadoss’s Ghajini, the Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name, alongside Aamir Khan and Asin, where she played Sunita. Ghajini received critical acclaim and emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2008.
