In the 151-year history of the FA Cup, the meeting between Man City and Man United will mark the first Manchester derby in the championship event. Manchester City thrashed Burnley 6-0 and kept the momentum going against Sheffield United in the semifinals with a 3-0 victory to secure its first final in four years. The match has been labelled a high-risk event due to the intense rivalry between United and City, and throughout the week, discussions regarding event logistics have taken place between the FA and the Metropolitan Police.
