Moonbin’s age was just 25 years at the time of his death. The South Korean celebrity’s passing news was announced by his management.

The final rites of Moonbin will be held on April 20 in Seoul and in a statement following Moonbin’s death, Astro’s agency has asked for privacy as well as disclosed the nature of the funeral expected to be held. “The bereaved family of Moonbin, who is deeply saddened by the sudden unfortunate news, wishes to carry out the funeral quietly,” the statement said.
His sister Moon Sua will be the chief mourner.

Moonbin’s entertainment company, Fantagio has confirmed his death. In a statement on Twitter, it said, “I would like to express my apologies for bringing you such heartbreaking news. On the 19th of April, Astro member Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.”
The company urged the fans to ‘refrain from speculative and malicious reports so that the bereaved family who are deeply in awe by the news of his passing, reverently commemorate and greet the deceased.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station reported Moon Bin’s manager found his dead body in his bedroom in Gangnam district, Seoul on the 19th of April at nearly 8:10 PM KST.
“We are now discussing the possibility of autopsy for determining the precise cause of Moonbin’s death,” police authorities have said that, “It appears that artist died due to suicide.”
In South Korea, if a person’s death is suspicious, an ‘autopsy is carried out for clarification’. Police officials will soon reveal whether post-mortem has found something or not.
Moonbin made his debut as a musician on the 23rd of February, 2016. Bin has starred in the famous K-drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’. Under the influence of his mother, Moon Bin made his debut in 2004, as a child artist. His first appearance was released in 2006 when MoonBin appeared in TVXQ’s music video for the song “Balloons”.
Before making his debut with the Astro band, Moonbin along with the rest of the group starred in a web drama, titled, To Be Continued.
His sister Moon Sua is also a part of the Korean music industry. She shared a post with Moonbin on Instagram from their childhood days. Sua is 23 years old and was 2 years younger than Moonbin. She is a part of Billie Band.
